In strict compliance to the Chief Minster’s directives, IT department has defined and initiated number of e-governance projects. PITB is an attached department of the IT department and have been assisting them in all of their efforts. PITB is getting short on the manpower because all of its is busy working on number of projects. Few of the approved projects, which PITB is working on, are as under:

		Decision Support Infrastructure System for CM Secretariat
		Institutional Capacity Building of Health Institutions (Pilot Project)
		Computerization of PIC, Medico-Legal, DTL, CEC
		Institutional strengthening of Anti Corruption Establishment
		Computerization of Criminal Record Office (CRO) Police
		Computerization of Anti-Vehicle Lifting operation of CIA Lahore
		Computerization of Punjab Privatization Board
		Monitoring & Evaluation of ICS/ACS Program (Phase V)

In addition to these there are number of projects which PITB has completed in-house. These include:

		A File Management & Tracking System for Government Departments
		A Patient and Inventory Management System for Governor House Medical Center
		A dynamic website for the CM Secretariat to monitor the directives and development projects

All these projects needs man power to get the requirements for departments and necessary infra structure to be successfully implemented. It has therefore been decided that new staff be hired explicitly for the e-government projects. Two teams have been proposed and will dedicatedly work on the e-government projects. Their responsibilities will be to coordinate with the government departments in learning the domain knowledge about working of the department, collecting their requirements, preparing PC-1, suggesting necessary hardware and software, prepare cost estimates, assuring quality of the developed software etc., etc.

This project will provide the experienced and skilled human resource to effectively define, evaluate and deploy the e-governance requirement and coordinate with the respective departments for its successful implementation.
