Expression of Interest - Training Seekers Details

The vision of Government of the Punjab is to make Punjab the hub of information technology and Punjab Information Technology Board (PITB) be the leading IT organization in promoting economic growth in IT and IT enabled services sector. Government of the Punjab wants PITB to be the driving force in creating Software Technology Parks and in implementing e-Governance and e-Government policies and projects throughout Punjab. PITB will be the thought leader, IT incubator, IT trend setter, and a role model for rest of the provinces in Pakistan.

 



As part of PITB’s mandate, it aims to bring together a wide range of expertise related to launch a major initiative within the next few weeks for providing IT training for individuals in public and private companies. The training will be aimed to develop new skill set in the future that a company might foresee as essential for their day to day operations. For instance, high-end training leading to certifications in Project Management, SAP, PeopleSoft, Oracle Financials, Siebel, Mercury, Rational Rose, Erwin, Linux & Open Source Technologies, Databases as well as architect level training on .Net & Web Technologies and other similar platforms.

 



Only PITB recommended individuals shall be eligible for these trainings. A formal selection process will naturally be evolved and applied. PITB will typically bear up to 70% of the cost associated with this training. At this stage we want you to send an expression of interest latest by March 21, 2005 on your training requirements. This should include the following information:




PITB reserves the rights to cancel/reject any offer without declaring any reason.

Please note that we are simply gauging the extent of demand and based on this we will send out a formal announcement towards the end of March 2005.
