PMU (P&D) in collaboration with Punjab Information Technology Board (PITB) and Project Management Institute (PMI) Lahore Chapter has organized a Seminar on Construction Risk Management.
Abstract: Risk management modeling with different risk management systems. The process of risk identification, analysis & evaluation, response management and system administration will be discussed with respect to different models developed. Finally, some quantitative techniques of risk analysis such as PERT, simulation, Expected Monetary Value (EMV) and Expected Utility Value (EUV) will be demonstrated with examples. Other aspects of risk management such as insurance, bonding and safety will also be highlighted.
Presenter: Seminar will be conducted by Dr. Syed M. Ahmad, Ph.D in Civil Engineering Construction Management from Georgia Institute of Technology, one of the leading international specialists in Construction Risk Management, Assistant Professor and Graduate Program Director Department of Construction Management at College of Engineering, Florida International University, Florida (FIU), author of 4 books on Construction Management and has over 24 research publications in the area of construction management and risk. He established the Center for Construction Risk Management at FlU and is serving as its director since July 2004.
