PITB’s vision is to develop Punjab as a regional hub of IT activity and innovation. PITB’s strategy is to jump-start the IT eco-system by selected interventions aimed at developing both the demand side for IT services as well as the supply side for IT services. Developing the demand side for IT services requires initiatives in the use of IT in government and in the economy at large. Initiatives for promoting the use of IT in the economy, requires training programs aimed particularly at the use of IT by SMEs. Developing the supply side for IT services requires initiatives aimed at developing the capacity of IT providers (IT firms) and IT manpower. These initiatives will be developed and launched, utilizing partnerships and collaborative arrangements with leading local and global players.
