DG Industries, Prices, Weights & Measures (IPWM) Asif Ali Farrukh held a meeting with PITB to discuss various ICT interventions specifically Government-wide Data-sharing and Analytics Platform developed as part of 'Online Statistical System of Punjab (OSSP)' and the 'Concept Papers for New Initiatives.' PITB representatives Director Rana Abid Mehmood from IT-Solutions wing and Joint Director (JD) Qaiser Shabbir from IT-Operations wing were present.
During the meeting, PITB Director IT-Solutions Rana Abid Mehmood gave a comprehensive overview on OSSP along with the demonstration of various dashboards. He explained that OSSP is a central data management/sharing platform creating single data versioning to ensure reliability, security, accuracy, and consistency across all the stakeholder departments.
Furthermore, PITB JD Qaiser Shabbir presented the 'Concept Papers for New Initiatives' while highlighting the scope and how it would benefit the said department.
DG IPWM Asif Ali Farrukh appreciated PITB's support and discussed the way forward. OSSP is a flagship initiative of the Punjab Government and is being executed by PITB.
