PITB Incubation Wing collaborated with the recently held ITCN Asia event as the Startup Booth Partner. Minister of State for IT & Telecommunication Shaza Fatima Khawaja graced the occasion as the Chief Guest. She visited PITB's stall and appreciated PITB for significantly contributing to strengthening Pakistan's tech and entrepreneurial ecosystem. She was accompanied by Secretary-General of the Digital Cooperation Organization (DCO) Kingdom of Saudi Arabia Deemah AlYahya, CEO Pakistan Software Export Board (PSEB) Aisha Moriani and Additional Secretary Ministry of IT & Telecom.
During the event, PITB Director Incubation Wing Hammad Bin Khalique gave an overview of PITB initiatives in startup incubation, including projects under the National Expansion Plan of NICs, which is a testament to the Ministry of IT's commitment to fostering innovation and entrepreneurship.
PITB Incubation Wing, as its Startup Booth Partner, brought 47 startups onboard to showcase and network with potential investors at the ITCN Asia. Furthermore, PITB's own booth showcased its incubation projects including National Expansion Plan of NICs and Regional Plan9, which saw a lot of interest from the youth and aspiring entrepreneurs in attendance.
On day 2 of ITCN, PITB Incubation Wing hosted the Investor Summit in which 13 startups pitched their ideas to foreign and local investors (16 foreign investors and 7 local investors). Federal Secretary IT Capt. Muhammad Mahmood and Member IT Syed Junaid Inam also attended the Investor Summit and listened to startup pitches.
Organized by Ecommerce Gateway Pakistan (Pvt.) Ltd, ITCN Asia was a unique 3-day event held at Lahore Expo that brought together Pakistan's entire tech & startup ecosystem. It offered a comprehensive platform for showcasing solutions in key sectors such as but not limited to Government, Cloud, Data Center, Cybersecurity, ERP, Education, Banking & Finance, Health & Pharma, Ecommerce, Artificial Intelligence etc.
