In an exclusive visit, Secretary Health Punjab accompanied by Chairman PITB, Umar Saif, was briefed on PITB established Command and Control Center in the primary and secondary health care department. Active 24/7, the center monitors, controls and manages health related activities across Punjab. Live monitoring of OPDs and emergencies at DHQ and THQ hospitals, live monitoring of Mobile Health Units, live management and monitoring of E-BHUs, and management of medicine inventory have been made possible through this center. The center also keeps track of the Ruler Health Ambulance service and runs a toll-free helpline 1033.

PITB has developed the Hotel Eye Software for Punjab Police that will be installed at all hotels across Punjab. Data of all and every criminal has been fed in the system and so, if and when a person with any criminal record will check-in any of the hotels, his details shall appear to the operator. The software shall not only help identify criminals to bring a sense of security at hotels but also assist the police to organize their data, says DIG Operations Haider Ashraf.

Earlier, Sindh Chief Secretary, Siddique Memon wrote a letter to the Punjab government to acquire the software developed by PITB for Punjab police. Chief Minister Sindh, Syed Murad Ali Shah, visited PITB yesterday and thanked PITB for implementing ICT interventions in Sindh on the pattern of Punjab. He also said that there is a lot of room for further cooperation and they will collaborate further to learn from PITB and implement various other initiatives in Sindh.

A three-day workshop was conducted for Civil Servants (to be promoted to Grade 19) at the National Institute of Management. During the first two days, workshop on Dataplug tools was conducted to encourage analytical thinking, which further promoted the use of technology for better administration through data capturing, data analytics, and data visualization. After the successful launch of e-Stamping in 10 selected districts of Punjab, e-Stamping would be launched in Lahore on August 23, 2016. Chairman PITB, Dr Umar Saif stated that e-Stamping has generated revenue of more than RS 700 million since its inception while 30,000 electronic stamp papers have been sold so far. DG (e-Gov), Sajid Latif said that stamp papers are now being issued within 10-15 minutes, which previously took 4-5 days.

The ‘Lahore High Court IT Fair 2016’ took place at the Punjab Judicial Academy on Friday. First of its kind, the Fair showcased all the IT initiatives developed for judiciary in order to streamline judicial processes and ensure transparency.
Generously attended by lawyers, judges and all relevant stakeholders amidst media, the event gave a unique platform to all 36 districts of Punjab to showcase their IT interventions pertaining to judiciary.
At the occasion, Chief Justice Lahore High Court, Justice Mansoor Ali Shah inaugurated LHC’s website and application developed by PITB and visited various stalls with Chairman PITB, Dr Umar Saif and got acquainted with IT initiatives including PITB’s Cause List Management System, Litigant Feedback Monitoring Program, helplines and Enterprise Case Flow Management. LHC acknowledged Dr Umar Saif and team PITB for their untiring efforts and providing technical assistance to the IT wing of the Court whereas Dr Saif stated that Justice Mansoor Ali Shah is a visionary man who believes in reformation, timely justice and transparency. Jul 26, 2017 Delegation from World Bank Visits PITB to Discuss e-Rozgar Program
Delegation from World Bank comprising Anna C. O’Donmell (Task Team Leader – SEEY), Jana El-Horr (Senior Development Specialist) and Shan Rehman (consultant) visited PITB to meet Chairman PITB, Dr Umar Saif to evaluate and discuss the pilot program for jobs and growth in the digital economy.

A total of 51 cases have been processed through PITB developed online portal for E-Procurement generating an amount of Rs. 4,230,125 for four quarters of the fiscal year 2015-16.
E-Procurement allows vendors to file only one genuine quotation against each procurement opportunity using GST and National Tax Number that ensures accountability and transparency of the bidders/vendors. It saves government’s money allocated for petty purchases and ensures standardization in purchase prices across all departments of the government.

As per the directives of Federal government to depute a contingent of Moavineen-e-Hujjaj to Kingdom of Saudi Arabia for the welfare and facilitation of pilgrims during their stay at Saudi Arabia for the performance of Hajj. Balloting to nominate moavin was, therefore, conducted by PITB HR Wing in the Auditorium (level 3), ASTP.

Jul 14, 2017 Implementation of Digital Content in 200 Multimedia Classrooms
eLearn.Punjab 's team visited Government Girls Model High School, Gulshan Ravi, Lahore on July 13, 2016 and conducted orientation session for the digital content implemented in 200 multimedia classrooms. Faculty of science and mathematics attended the session and enthusiastically participated in the discussions whereas all the attendees were motivated to make the implementation successful.

Steady advancements in technology have significantly improved methods of governance across Punjab. PITB has devised umpteen ICT interventions for health, education, law and order, and citizen facilitation services including Citizen Feedback Monitoring Program, e-Khidmat Centers, e-Learn Project, Smart Monitoring of Schools, e-Stamping, Dengue Tracking System, Crime Mapping, DLIMS, etc. that have enabled the government to introduce a culture of transparency and facilitate the citizens.
   
Jul 13, 2017 More than 11,664 e-Stamps Issued in District Gujranwala
e-Stamping Team visited Bank of Punjab, Satellite Town Branch, Gujranwala to review e-Stamping initiative. One of the busiest branches in terms e-Stamping services, this branch alone has issued 2,885 e-Stamps worth Rs 44,881,242 out of total 11,664 e-Stamps issued so far in district Gujranwala since its launch on May 26, 2016.
Encouraged by the considerable response in Gujranwala district, e-Stamping team is all set to launch the initiative in rest of the districts of Gujranwala division.

PITB pays tribute to legendary humanitarian, Abdul Sattar Edhi. The man with a sole mission of serving humanity irrespective of their caste, creed or religion – Edhi’s departure left us all crestfallen. The measure of his greatness can be measured by the fact that his death united Pakistan across all affiliations. The kindest soul on earth, the exceptional Edhi gave ordinary Pakistanis immense pride. The most fitting tribute to Edhi would be for us to become Edhis in our spheres.
   
Jul 13, 2017 Citizen Facilitation Center to be Operational in Sahiwal
A pre-launch meeting for the e-Khidmat Center in Sahiwal was held among PITB, Commissioner Sahiwal and his team, and all service providing departments including Police, E&T, LG&CD, NADRA, Traffic Police, LRMIS, Post Office in the Committee Room of e-Khidmat Center, Sahiwal. Test run of all service along with the training of officials will start from tomorrow whereas the center will be operational by the end of this week.
Sajid Latif (Director General e-Governance) and Muhammad Waseem Bhatti (Director Citizen Facilitation Services) along with FC team represented PITB at the meeting while a special acknowledgement was given to the Chairman PITB, Dr Umar Saif, for his continuous support and motivation.
e-Khidmat center is an automated one-window for all public services with the sole purpose to facilitate citizens and mitigate corruption.

Jul 11, 2017 Citizen Contact Center Celebrated Eid at Work
Our resources working at Citizen Contact Center (PITB) celebrated Eid in their office to ensure the safety and comfort of the citizens during the Eid holidays and handled calls and queries for different departments of Government of Punjab (CDGL, WASA, PDMA and PHL) .The on-duty staff sacrificed their joy to facilitate the people and were happy to serve others during Eid holidays.
Citizen Contact Center management also celebrated Eid with the resources and decorated the Contact Center with buntings and distributed Eidi amongst females (bangles and mehndi) while meal vouchers were distributed among the winners of ‘Best Dress Theme Competition’ and the supervisors (operations) who arranged all the event.
