Microsoft Pakistan is actively working on various initiatives through Microsoft Pakistan DPE and Microsoft Innovation Centres, the latest one Tech Day 2014 was among the major engagement Microsoft Pakistan DPE executed across three major cities of Pakistan(Islamabad, Lahore and Karachi).
Tech Day Pakistan 2014 (IT Community Meet-up – Lahore Chapter was organised at Lahore University of Management Sciences (LUMS) through Microsoft innovation Center Lahore on Wednesday 9th April 2014; from 3:30pm till 9:00pm.
Tech Day 2014 was attended by delegates which include Senior members from IT Industry & Academia, CEO, CTO, Faculty members, Professional developers and Microsoft Students Partners.
Event started with Talawat – e – Quran which is being followed by a Welcome Note and a brief introduction of Chief Guest Mr. Salim Ghouri CEO (NetSol Technologies) and Technical evangelists from Microsoft MEA region.
Event Kicked off with Tahir Masood’s (Microsoft Pakistan DPE Lead) presentation on Microsoft contribution to the IT & Academic Landscape of Pakistan. The presentation was followed by keynote Speech of Chief Guest of the Tech Day 2014 Mr. Salim Ghouri.
Highlight of the Tech Day 2014 include technical sessions held by Microsoft Technical Evangelists from MEA, HQ who came all the way from Turkey and Egypt to share their craft around Microsoft Technologies & Products with Pakistani IT Industry.

Umit Sunar delivered a detailed session about Microsoft Cloud offerings; Virtual Machines, Cloud and Mobile Services, authentication using live demos, Ibrahim Kivanc gave the road map of Windows 8.1 dev for developers with a special emphasis on user experience and animations from designers standpoint and at the end Mohammad Yamama introduced Windows Phone 8.1 updates announced in Microsoft \\BUILD event and introduced CORTANA to the audience with live demos that were well appreciated by the audience.
Dinner was served to conclude the TECH DAY 2014.
