PITB, Information Technology University and Archives and Libraries Department in collaboration with Columbia University’s Group for Experimental Methods in the Humanities will be digitizing the archives of Punjab. This will be Punjab’s window to the world enabling historians worldwide to conduct research. Talking to the media, Chairman PITB, Dr. Umar Saif, said “It is a historic day for Pakistan as we embark on digitizing archives of Punjab, one of the largest archives in South Asia with documentation spanning over 300 years.”
