Deputy Secretary General (DSG) Irrigation Department Rao Sohail Tauheed chaired a meeting with PITB IT Operations (IT-OPS) team to review e-Abiana system. During the meeting conducted at Irrigation Department Punjab Secretariat, PITB representative Shah Baksh Raisani apprised the DSG of the new upgrades in the system.
A comprehensive discussion was also held on the development of other modules like ‘Drainage,’ a billing module that will be charged to Irrigators to drain the excessive rain water into drains, and ‘Tawan’ which is a water theft control module.
The participants from both sides also presented their views regarding the enhancement in the e-Abiana system. DSG applauded PITB for its continued support and expressed confidence in its services.
e-Abiana is a digital mechanism for the payments of Abiana amount and Tawan through PITB developed e-Pay Punjab App. It also enables the department to improve revenue collection while ensuring transparency.
