A delegation from Sindh Irrigation Department paid a two-day visit to Punjab Irrigation Department in Lahore. During a meeting chaired by Deputy Secretary General Sohail Akhtar, PITB representatives from IT-Operations team gave a demo of e-Abiana project and informed the attendees about new upgrades in the system. Sindh Irrigation Department appreciated PITB’s efforts and showed keen interest in implementation of the system in Sindh. e-Abiana is a digital mechanism for the payments of Abiana amount and Tawan through PITB developed e-Pay Punjab App. It also enables the department to improve revenue collection while ensuring transparency.
