PITB Conducted GIS Training for Cooperatives Department

PITB organized a 4-day training session on Geographic Information System (GIS) for Punjab government’s Cooperatives Department. The training, conducted by PITB’s GIS team (Software Engineering wing and IT-Operations wing), was delivered for the capacity building of the department’s Computerization Land Title Record team (Draftsmen and Surveyors) under its Technical wing.
PITB GIS Expert Ammar Ahmad gave a detailed brief on the system with an aim to facilitate a comprehensive understanding of the GIS tools and techniques. The training particularly focused on Data Capturing, Editing, Spatial and Attribute Data Handling, Data Quality Assurance, Creating Maps and the development of the final product.
