PITB team, representatives from Food & Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) and Punjab Livestock & Dairy Development Board (PLDDB) held a meeting at PLDDB office regarding the implementation of Pakistan Animal Identification & Traceability System(PAITS).
PITB Program Managers Asif Qamar and Ali Jabbar briefed the participants on multiple features and benefits of PAITS in Livestock sector. PLDDB team not only appreciated the project and acknowledged its importance but also showed a keen interest in the implementation of this system in one of their farms.
PLDDB Chairman Dr. Asim Mahmood Khan, PLDDB CEO Col. (Retd.) Nadeem Akhtar Khan, National Consultant on Animal Traceability FAO Dr. Naveed Niazi and other senior officials participated in the meeting.
