The vision is to make Punjab the hub of information technology (IT) through human resource development, economic activity generation, IT education, outsourcing, and infrastructure development.

The Punjab Information Technology Board (PITB) was set up by the Government of Punjab as an autonomous body with the mission to “develop IT as a major sphere of economic activity, and promote its use in the public and private sectors for increasing efficiency and competitiveness”. PITB has achieved considerable success in a short time towards realizing the objectives for which it was formed.
