Secretary Agriculture Iftikhar Ali Sahoo and Chairman PITB Faisal Yousaf met to review the ICT initiatives rolled out by PITB for the department.
Chairman PITB Faisal Yousaf shared detailed insights into the success of the ongoing interventions. He particularly focused on the interventions related to the Cotton Revival Plan for Punjab FY 2023-24 with special focus on Crop Monitoring Using Satellite Imagery, e-Subsidies, Crop Insurance & the Key Performance Indicators (KPI) based Extension Services Monitoring System.
Senior officials including DG Agriculture Extension Dr. Anjum Buttar, Additional Secretary (Task Force) Shabbir Ahmad Khan and PITB CTO Adil Iqbal, Directors Badar Munir and Ali Raza Kheiri and Joint Director Usman Wahed were also present in the meeting.
Secretary Agriculture lauded the role of PITB in the digital transformation of the department, underscoring the importance of IT in improving delivery, especially in the realm of Cotton Revival in Punjab.
