Punjab Chief Minister Mohsin Naqvi has inaugurated the Surgical Tower at Sahiwal Teaching Hospital where the PITB developed Hospital Management Information System (HMIS) is deployed for smooth operations. Punjab Health Minister Dr. Javed Akram and Secretary Health Ali Jan Khan along with other senior officials were also present at the event.
During the event, PITB team briefed the Chief Minister on the implementation of Hospital Management Information System at the hospital.
In this regard, PITB Chairman Faisal Yousaf said that the effective implementation of HMIS signifies a substantial deployment, offering notable advantages. It entails the use of electronic medical records to improve clinical services, benefiting patients, and aiding the hospital management in effective decision-making.
"HMIS is beneficial for both the hospital management and the patients, as every patient's data is easily accessible at any HMIS powered hospital across Punjab," he added.
