Punjab Axle Load Data Regime to Roll Out Nationwide

A meeting was held between PITB, National Highway and Motorway Police (NHMP) and Punjab Transport Department to discuss the integration of the Punjab Axle Load Data Regime across Pakistan.

Punjab Highway Police DIG Athar Waheed, IT Director Transport Asim Iqbal, National Highway IT GM Waqas Malik, National Highway Authority (NHA) Director Sadaqat Umer, NHA Deputy Director Sajid Mehmood Awan, NHMP ACP Saifullah Khalid were present.

PITB team from IT-Operations wing including Senior Program Manager Ans Shams, Program Manager Syed Umer and Program Officer Ayaan Nisar gave a detailed briefing on the Punjab Axle Load Data Regime system developed by PITB. They discussed its various features and functionalities. The participants also discussed its scope and overall success across Punjab.

Punjab Axle Load Data Regime is a centralized regulating and monitoring system that is developed for load forwarding vehicles to keep a check on weight & volume plying on the roads for road safety. The stakeholders appreciated PITB's support and discussed the way forward.
