PlanX in collaboration with Information Technology University recently organized MakerFest Lahore, an event envisioned as a community-organized event modeled across the lines of renowned MakerFaire that takes place around the globe. MakerFest Lahore showcased locally developed projects that draw inspiration from STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Mathematics). The event provided a perfect setting for makers from all over Pakistan to show what they are making and share what they are learning. Over 130 participants in the form of startups and projects participated at the event ranging from tech enthusiasts to crafters to scientists and hobbyists. The aim of MakerFest Lahore was to not only provide a perfect platform for Makers to showcase their passionate innovations but it also acted as a networking event for young innovators as it gave them a chance to meet people from the local business community and investors from Pakistan. This enabled them to discuss possible synergies and exchange ideas for the future. The event was attended by over 1200 attendees from all age groups. In addition to startup and project displays, there were also various activities conducted based on the theme of the event which captured the interest of the audience.
